A little about Hakomi

Hakomi is a mindfulness-based method for noticing how we organize our experience, including what is happening in the body.

How it fits with ketamine

  1. Before the medicine

We get to know each other. I introduce some of the ways of working in Hakomi, like mindfulness. We talk about how we might work together during the ketamine session. Often more than one preparation session can be helpful.

  2. During

Because we have built rapport and a shared language, we can begin to notice beliefs and habits as they show up.

  3. After

Integration varies by person. We might talk through the session and the days after. It may include some Hakomi work.
